Wow, now that was a busy holiday season!
January 14, 2009 at 7:27 pm | In Uncategorized | 10 CommentsI can’t believe it has been so long since I have updated here. I have been so busy getting ready for Christmas and trying to recoup from all the Holiday cheer that my little blog had to take a backseat. Thank you for all the sweet emails wondering about me. I am fine just a busy busy bee.
We are trying to get ready for the new baby and Brandon just started his new job. Things have been a whirlwind around here but have started to settle down.
I’ve been busy working on Memory Makers assignments so I don’t really have a lot to share today. Here is a sneak peek of my blog post that you can check out here: Memory Makers Masters Blog

If you didn’t catch the January/February issue of Memory Makers Magazine be sure to pick one up when you get a chance. I am really proud of the layout that I have featured in there. There is an article of the 2009 Master’s “I Believe” layouts and their interviews. I am so lucky to be such a part of an amazing team.
I am totally happy to be taking part in Lisa Pace’s Cupid Workshop this month. The next two weeks I am going to enjoying all of Lisa’s gorgeous designs. Perfect to get in the mood for one of my favorite holidays, “Valentine’s Day”.I cannot wait to start!! Be sure to click over there and sign up for her blog feed. Lisa is my scrapbook idol! I adore her! I still remember seeing her work on Martha Stewart and finding her inspiring designs on Two Peas In a Bucket.
Speaking of Valentine’s Day, Memory Makers has the cutest digital scrapbooking kit for FREE!!

Emily Powers Valentine’s Day kit is chock full of sweet candy goodness and bright colors. I am thinking about making Belle’s school valentine’s with this kit. Download it here!!
Hopefully I will be back sooner rather than later. I am sure the next couple of weeks will have me glittering everything in the house and I will share it here.
Oh and I need to post the rest of the Journey layouts too. Last month I was a little slow about photographing and uploading… forgive me….
I am growing a human being after all.

Journey of a Lifetime: Day 2/7
November 11, 2008 at 3:56 pm | In Uncategorized | 14 CommentsWhen I think of my personal journey what strikes me the most is how different my life is from how it was 11 years ago. That’s when I first met Brandon and everything just seemed to fall into place. This layout tells that story. I know I have already mentioned Alexi Murdoch in my FYI Post. His song “All My Days” really hits home to me how long I searched for the happiness that I now have in my life. I used the lyrics of the song along the bottom to show how I found Brandon and Belle at the end of a long road. I would recommend finding a song you love and using the lyrics to portray your road to finding what has ultimately brought you peace and love in your life. What have you found lately that you were or even didn’t know you were searching for?

November 10, 2008 at 5:13 pm | In Uncategorized | 7 CommentsI love it when certain things happen or come into your life that have a similar theme. Last week I recieved a remarkable book by Michelle Skinner, “Your Words, Your Story” from Memory Makers. It made me think about how I was telling the story of my family’s life and the journey we are on. Second I got a great email from my friend Terri Carleton who is on an amazing cross country journey with her husband. Then Belle plopped down beside me in our scrapbook room with her new Magic Treehouse book and proclaimed, “well, I”m off on another adventure!”. It seemed like this theme was really calling to me.
I’ve been thinking about the idea of a Journey. Especially since it is the end of the year I always love to look back on the year and where we’ve been and where we are going. I thought it would be an excellent theme for this week’s blog. Discussing and scrapbooking the various journeys we have taken and how it doesn’t have to be a physical trip that you have taken. Have you started a new job? A new baby entering your life? Did something happen this year that changed your life? It could be as simple as a trip to the grocery store or meeting a new friend and what you have learned from them. From the beginning of kindergarten or college to starting retirement. I’m going to be coordinating all my layouts this week so make a kit of papers, cardstocks and embellishments that you love if you want to play along. Or do as I am going to and grab a bunch of products and papers that will make your best friend raise her eyebrow at you and say, “only you would think that goes together…” 7gypsies Journey stickers, MME Valentine and Basic Gray Christmas paper– works for me!
To get started here is the 6×12 title page for my album because I just have to have a divider.

History- Yes We Can!
November 5, 2008 at 12:10 am | In Uncategorized | 1 CommentIf you hear this message, wherever you stand
I’m calling every woman, calling every man
We’re the generation
We can’t afford to wait
The future started yesterday and we’re already late
If you’re ready we can shake the world
Believe again
It starts within
We don’t have to wait for destiny
We should be the change that we want to see
